Ronda Rousey suffered a terrible first round defeat in the hands of Amanda Nunes on Friday night in Las Vegas. Nunes caught her with a savage blow inside first 60 seconds and Rousey clearly rocked, refree stepped in and stopped the fight. It might turn out to be her last fight in which she was paid around $2.5 million while Amanda Nunes only pocketed $162,000.
Fight Highlights:
Alot has changed since Holly Holms defeated Ronda Rousey to become Bantamweight champions back in November 2015. Since than Holms has lost the title to Meisha Tate who herself had a bad 2016 and ultimately retired. Incomes Amanda Nunes “The Lioness” who had a superb 2016 and will be hoping to wrap up a superb year with another major win over one of the greatest women fighters of all time in Ronda Rousey.
The fight takes place on Friday, 30th December 2016 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA. It will be a PPV event which also feature several other high profile fights. Ronda Rousey has absolutely distand herself from Media in the build up and you can clearly see the anger on her face throughout the promotional campaign. Its a big night for her career and anything other than a win might put the curtains on her fighting career.
Now looking at the both fighters they are known for their first round finishes specially Ronda Rousey who enjoyed a long successful stint in UFC with his first round wins which came to halt when Holly Holms took her beyond the round 1 and thats where Rouse Collapsed. Its not fair to regard her a one-round fighter but she does have stamina issues and same can be said about Amanda Nunes. Ronda Rousey’s is incredible on the ground game and apart from Holly Holms noboday has survived are when Rouse had them in submission.

Ronda Rousey came in fired up for the official weigh-ins on Thursday night and looked in great shape. While Nunes was confident in what was a intense face-off.
Predictions: Its a difficult one to call as going into the fight both fighters stamina issues are well documented and we can assume both of them going at each other in full force from the round 1. It will be interesting to see how Rouse bounce back from that 1 year sabbatical and that defeat in late 2015. Amanda Nunes is a much better fighter than Holms on her feet and if Rousey made the same mistakes she might not even see the round 2. I am going with a first round knockout win for Nunes in this one.
